Jackie Lara, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Master’s degree in Counselor Education, Graduate Certificate in College Teaching and Leadership, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences.

I’m passionate about working with adults on a variety of topics. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and depression and enjoy working on women’s issues, multicultural topics and helping individuals work through family difficulties. I’m is fluent in Spanish and would love to use those skills in working with the Latinx community.

I like to empower adults and teenagers by working collaboratively as a facilitator. I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives and only need assistance in putting the pieces together. I work to achieve this with a personalized approach, maximizing a client’s strengths, remaining open-minded, transparent and non-judgmental.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and many pets, watching movies, baking, trying new foods and doing DIY projects.

“My ideal client recognizes that things could be better, even if they don't know how to get there… that’s when I step in and we work as a team.”
