Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Supervisor trained in EMDR, Gestalt and Ego Supportive Therapies
We all have times of challenge in our lives, whether we are facing life transitions, loss or illness, family stress, struggling relationships, trauma or abuse. Being able to share, to finding solutions and resolution is as vital as breathing.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Ps 34:18
Take a first step. Let's start with a simple conversation and begin the process of exploring needs and goals. Let's begin that journey toward restoration and hope.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Christian Therapist, I have been providing help to people for over 40 years. I understand what it means to hurt, to struggle through and how important the decision to seek support can be.
Having received my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Work from Adelphi University, I began providing private Christian counseling in NY and moved to Florida in 1993.
My experience includes working with individuals, couples, families, and groups in the arenas of healthcare and oncology, hospice and bereavement, trauma and abuse, adoption, foster care, pregnancy and post abortion.
I utilize an eclectic, client centered approach in counseling. I am trained in Ego Supportive Therapy, Art Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness and Acceptance Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt Therapy.
On a personal note, I have 2 adult sons and 3 thriving grandchildren.
I enjoy working in my rose garden, playing with clay sculpture and wheelthrowing. I dabble in water colors and art journaling. I look forward to teaching my granddaughters to knit and crochet.
I have 2 Standard Schnauzers, Ruby and Ivy, who beg me for walks everyday.
